Texas RN Clinical Manager Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. CVICU is a 16bed unit with a capacity to expand to 24 beds specializing in the care of peripheral vascular surgery,cardio thoracic surgery and heart/heartlung transplant patients. The population includes patients with the following diagnoses and/or medical conditions: Cardiac,vascular and thoracic surgery,acute thrombosis with thrombolytic therapy intraaortic balloon pumps ventricular assist devices heart,lung,and heartlung transplant chest/great vessel trauma cryoablation lung volume reduction surgery and transmyocardial revascularization with heart laser.
